Hello Everyone, my name is Keren Egharevba. I’m a 19 year old, studying Human Resources Management at the Canadian University of Dubai. I was born and raised in Nigeria, a place filled with a number of beautiful cultures and blessed with wealth from oil. Although its richness in oil, many Nigerians are still homeless and faced with some brutal and harsh situations. Being from Nigeria andliving there all my life has opened me up to a number of people going through these unfortunate situations. Ive tried my best in trying to help the poor by giving out to beggars on the street, however I still don’t think I have given enough aid to support the poor. I thank God for the 5 Days for the homeless campaign which hasenabled me to lend a helping hand and also to make an impact in the lives of these homeless and starving people. God Bless their souls.
Five Days for the Homeless is a charity campaign founded in 2005 by students from the University of Alberta School of Business in Canada. This year it is a five-day campaign is running from March 8-12 at the Canadian University of Dubai. The campaign is run by a group of students who will live as if they were “homeless” on campus to raise money and awareness for the Dubai Women and Children's Shelter.
